This is a commission to commemorate the passing of one Greyhound and the adopting of another one. I designed this so the beloved pet who passed is in the background. She was gray-faced at the end so I broke up the white glass to "blend" with the dark grout. I also wanted her to be "receding" into the past. The new dog is a brindle color but her chest is white so I blended the two bodies - and spirits - together in the chest area. I chose to have the new dog looking straight at the viewer - saying "I'm here now and I will love you just as good"!
