Nudes
When I first tried my hand at mosaics, I chose to do the female nude because it is arguably the most cliche subject in the art world. That freed me up to explore my favorite subject - the play of light and shadow in creating the illusion of volume. The female form offers unending opportunities to explore not only height and width but, most importantly, the third dimension: depth.
