Virgin of Guadalupe Mosaic Mural
The Virgin of Guadalupe! She is on a wall in Oakland's Jingletown neighborhood and was the first piece in a much larger art project: the Peterson Street Art Wall and Garden. This long wall was a magnet for gang graffiti and the image of the Virgin kept the graffiti and gangs away.
She is 7' x 4' on a wall section that is 10' x 10'.
